Believing in the health benefits of raw honey and pollen, we decided to raise bees. Anthony is passionate about his girls, and we keep 10 hives, some in our backyard, and others dispersed among other farms in our community.
We are members of the Green River Beekeepers Association and the Kentucky State Beekeepers Association, and we produce Kentucky Certified Honey.
Anthony has begun to graft queens from our survivor hives. Our goal is to keep our hives alive from year to year, not having to replace them. We have also brought in hygenic bees, hoping to breed bees that can naturally adjust to the infestation of mites.
Bees are in trouble, and we urge everyone to use pesticides and herbicides responsibly, to plant pollinator friendly plants around your home, and dedicate even a small patch of natural area to bloom. Our 'front yard' is a sea of dandelions and white clover !
We offer raw, local honey for sale, never heated, and only strained. Anthony will also have basic wooden hive parts for sale and small packages of bees for venom therapy.
