HANDMADE SOAP
WHY I STARTED MAKING SOAP
I was tired of having to dig deep into college chemistry to read a label on a wedge of cheese or a bar of soap. In my 40's, my body told me enough of large-scale manufactured products. After buying the farm, I began handcrafting as much of what we need as I could, including soap. Now I use chemistry to design soaps that will benefit you and your skin, thoughtfully combining oils and butters, carefully selecting natural and organic ingredients. And the foundation of all my soap recipes is raw goat milk from my generous herd of purebred Nigerian Dwarf goats, Lamanchas and Alpines.
My soaps are not the prettiest; I use the old-fashioned cold process method, and refuse to add any artificial colorants, preservatives, emulsifiers, or melt and pour bases. Any scents used are either essential oils or non-GMO, phthalate and cruelty free fragrance oils. Most importantly, all soaps are tested on me. So close your eyes and savor this soaping experience created for you by all the hard-working girls of Crown-Mark Farm.

HARD WORKING GIRLS PRODUCTS
Hard Working Girls personal care products were developed out of necessity. My office is now a barn, and my hands are constantly assaulted by the elements. I bought and tried too many lotions and balms, and either the first ingredient was water, diluting the lotion to worthlessness, or, my usual complaint, the list of ingredients was impossible to decipher. I had to protect my hands, so I started to research hand balm recipes and ingredients. I developed Hard working Girls Hand Balm using beeswax from the bees of Crown-Mark Farm and a blend of organic or natural oils and butters that serve as skin protectors or conditioners. Hard Working Girls Lip Balm soon followed, each tube of balm 'kissed' by drops of raw honey from the bees of Crown-Mark Farm. Hard Working Girls Bath Truffles are a treat after a days work out in the barn, incorporating all the benefits of goat milk, but in powdered form. The product line is expanding, and I will be bringing them to you soon. And please remember that all products are tested and used by me and the hard working crew of Crown-Mark Farm.
